The Egyptian Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, founded in 1967, is one of the distinguished Egyptian societies (ESPRS) and is distinguished by having its own medical journal that aims to improve plastic surgery and surgical education.

The American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons (ASCRS) is one of the oldest surgical societies. It was founded in 1899 and is one of the contributors to the formation of the American Certification Program for Rectal Cancer. The Mediterranean Colorectal Society was founded in Rome 20 years ago by a team of fifteen international experts specialized in colon and rectal surgery. The Society aims to encourage and enhance continuous scientific exchange between colorectal surgery specialists in the Mediterranean countries through several actions, including organizing… A scientific conference every two years that stimulates the establishment of the specialty of colorectal surgery in the Mediterranean countries, and provides the opportunity for members, especially young people, to learn new advanced surgical procedures.

Founded in 1989, the Ahmed Shafik Foundation for Science (ASFS) is a non-profit organization registered with the Ministry of Social Affairs in Cairo, Egypt. No. 3850, among its goals is to encourage, modernize, disseminate and coordinate scientific research and experimental work, expand national and international cooperation to implement research projects, and support the development of innovations in all medical specialties in both diagnosis and treatment.

The Egyptian Society of Colon and Rectum (ESCR) 2015, No. 5567, was established as a distinguished forum to integrate education, scientific difference, and dynamic interaction in all issues of colorectal diseases in Egypt.

Founded in 2001 and registered under the number 2093, it is a professional association dedicated to improving patient care by promoting excellence in scientific research for pelvic diseases and holding conferences and meetings around the world in order to exchange scientific knowledge.
